What to do in May? Play games! Whether you’re planning a trip, an active holiday or lazing around the barbecue, it’s a good idea to have an activity in mind for your family or friends. Here is a selection of games for the May bank holiday!
Active holidays
Toss the pig in the inflatable version is a social game that’s great for the outdoors! The set includes two pigs to inflate, a handy mesh bag, scorecards, a pencil and… an emergency kit should the pig encounter a painful fall! The inflatables are waterproof, so you can also play in the pool, lake or sea. Be careful, running after the unruly pigs can get quite tiring! Players alternate tossing the inflatables and then scoring the fall. Each pig’s position is assigned a score to be written down. The player who scores 100 points wins.
May Day trip
Bags already packed? May travel is a great opportunity to see Poland and Europe in pleasant spring-like temperatures. Although there is plenty to do during the May holidays, it is worth adding something for the road to your hand luggage. WHOT! and TOP TRUMPS are card games that do not pose a threat to luggage checks! TOP TRUMPS resembles a card war, while WHOT! Macau. The fast and simple gameplay will keep children and adults alike occupied.
Outdoor party
A house party away from home? Why not! TOP TRUMPS Quiz and Trivial Pursuit is a great addition to time spent with friends. The handy card case can be thrown in your backpack and played on the go or outdoors. The questions are fun and pop-culture-themed, so there’s no fear of schoolyard quizzing while you’re lazing around in May. With a larger group of friends, you can divide into two teams and play a duel for penalties… points 🙂 .
Family games
Clever activity planning for children on days off from school can sometimes exhaust all parents’ creative resources. We come to the rescue and suggest two family quiz games that will be great not only during the May holidays. Interesting and original questions about Poland can be found in the game Trivial Pursuit Poland. We have created as many as 600 questions in the categories: Tastes of Poland, History, Geography, Music, Pop Culture and Sport. The game is recommended for children and adults over the age of 8. The second proposition is TOP TRUMPS Quiz Animals. Each of the 100 cards contains five questions about one animal. TOP TRUMPS Quiz can be played 1:1 or in teams. The game is dedicated to children from the age of 7.
May (un)weather
What about when the weather doesn’t cooperate? We rush with a solution! Board games with long gameplay are a way to get away from the TV and spend quality time at home. MONOPOLY in licence or theme variants is a completely new approach to the classic board game. The game can take between one and three hours to play and can involve up to six people. Players are tasked with gaining the upper hand on the board by taking over locations and collecting cash. For those who like a bit of brain-teasing, on the other hand, the themed Cluedo works well. Players take on the role of detectives who move around the board and reveal their opponents’ cards, determining the location, the murder weapon and the perpetrator. The cards change with each game, so Cluedo can be played over and over again!
